2017 Sugar Season Knitting Retreat

We are excited to announce that Bristol Ivy will be the featured instructor for the Spinnery’s 2017 Sugar Season Knitting Retreat. Bristol Ivy is a knitting designer and teacher from Portland, Maine. Her design work focuses on the intersection between innovative technique and classic tailoring, and her classes focus on creativity, technique, and understanding the nuts and bolts of knitting.
We’ll be focusing our class time with her on shawl construction and design. The workshop will be held in Brattleboro, Vermont from Friday, March 24th to Sunday, March 26th, 2016. It will begin with dinner on Friday evening and conclude by noon on Sunday. The Spinnery’s weekends feature great food, lively companionship and lots of yarny goodness. And this Spring, we are delighted to be able to host the event at the top-rated Riverside Hotel, located on the scenic shore of the Connecticut River just a few miles South of the Spinnery.
