Hello I purchased a kit for your Stained glass hat at the
Vermont Sheep and Wool festival. I finally knit it up and
wanted to share a picture of the final product with you along
with a picture of one of my Angora goats. I left contact info
with the vendor at your booth in the case that you are interested
in mohair fiber. I have colored Angoras but most of my fleeces
are a pewter/silver hue which can be overdyed. I have several
yearling fleeces available for sale and charge $16 a pound.
I love your yarn and patterns and really enjoyed making the
hat. Look forward to knitting another Green Mountain Spinnery
project soon.

I just wanted to pass along a photo of my completed project
to you. Thank you for such a fun and beautiful pattern. It
only took me a little over a day to whip up!

My mother-in-law, Ruth Newman, made this sweater for her granddaughter,
Molly, from yarn she purchased from you. It is so luxurious,
and where Molly is headed this fall (Boston), she will need
a warm sweater far more than she has needed them here in California.
My MIL is an amazing knitter, and the combination of great knitter
+ divine yarn = lucky Molly!

This Ropes
& Ladders pattern uses Cotton
Comfort Peony instead of the suggested 2-ply Worsted
Weight yarn or Mountain Mohair. She simply knit a swatch, checked
the gauge and improvised! "I liked the weight of the Cotton
Comfort for this project." Lovely! |

6 years ago at a Stitches Market in Minneapolis, I purchased
some Green Mountain Spinnery rag wool (Variegated Green
Mountain Green) to make a sweater for myself. I held
on to the yarn until fall 06 when the Bianca's pattern appeared
in an Interweave Knits magazine. I finally found just the right
pattern for the yarn. I have a picture I would be happy to share
with you. This was THE most wonderful yarn I have ever used
and the colors just seemed to fall in place as I knit. I get
loads of compliments every time I wear the sweater and I tell
everyone - the yarn is from Green Mountain Spinnery.

We visited your booth at the Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival,
and my friend was bragging to your folks there on my behalf.
I had knit the Stained Glass pullover
from your wonderful design and Mountain Mohair,
and entered it into the Indiana State Fair (2006). It won the
blue ribbon in the "two or more colors" class. The
judge complimented the color selections - I had to laugh as
it was the colorway from the book. She also really liked the
neckline treatment (again, straight from the book). I have attached
a photo of the sweater with its ribbon, which you may use on
your website if you wish (I don't think it's the best photo,
I'm not much of a photographer).
I just wanted to say thank you for your wonderful yarns,
and designs!
