The double thick, cuddly fabric of this unisex vest comes from a simple slipstitch rib pattern offered by Barbara Walker in A Second Treasury of Knitting Patterns. Two design elements - slits at the hip and optional side gussets - offer three shaping alternatives for various body types. Knitters may knit the vest straight up and down, create side gussets to accommodate a larger chest measurement, or leave panels open to waistline to allow for larger hip size.

Easy Knitting

Knit from the top down all in one piece, this classic raglan for adults and children features roll or cable neck. The yarn over increases at the raglan seams are a handsome detail. An ideal baby/toddler gift, especially in Mountain Mohair. Pattern includes Children's and Adult Sizes

Intermediate Knitting

This all-over repeating cable is fun to knit but even more fun to wear. The cuff is tapered with smaller needles and a variation of the Horseshoe pattern. With a crocheted neck edge and drop shoulders, this sweater is extremely comfortable to wear. Choose from a long or a cropped version.
