Easy Knitting

Libby designed this vest after a visit to Scotland’s Outer Hebrides Islands, famous for their sheep and traditional knitting.
The stitch pattern is based on Elizabeth Lovick’s book Patterns for North Ronaldsay Yarn.Liz named the design “Blanster” after a farm on South Ronaldsay Island mentioned in early medieval documents, which is still there today.

Advanced Knitting

This classic crew neck is as comfortable as your favorite sweatshirt. Knit in the round to the armholes, then back and forth for the rest of the sweater. Set-in sleeves are picked up and knit from the armholes.

Spontaneously designed for a Spinnery customer, this pattern is based on our Easy Raglan sweater. Stitches are cast on at the neck; increases are worked at four evenly spaced intervals. Directions are for either a rolled or cable neck with ribbed or cabled hem. Feel free to make variations of your own - finishing the hem with fringe, I-cord, bobbles... You may think of the poncho as a blank canvas and work stripes, texture, or both. Have Fun!
