Two great events are coming up in August 2025 — Summer Blues Indigo at Wing & a Prayer Farm and Shop Hop 2025. Hope to see you there!
Our Ravelry friend Laura, happened to be in our booth when the “crabby trio” above arrived for show and tell. She was so delighted by their tops that she decided to cast on for one of her own. Maryland is known for its blue crabs, after all. She found Whitney Terrell’s Crab Dip pattern on Ravelry and figured out her yardage requirements without delay! She purchased the Cotton Comfort she needed on the spot. Laura used Unbleached White as her main color, Denim for her crabs and Weathered Green for her fishes and waves.
High heat got you feeling a little crabby? You’re not alone, and why not have some fun with it by treating yourself to a new project! We hope that your summer plans include a getaway or two, perhaps even a yarny adventure that could have you headed our way! Details of this year’s I91 Shop Hop have been announced and there is even a new webpage with links to each of the 8 shops that will be participating.

We want to offer a hearty thank you to all of the folks who visited the Mill over the past couple of weeks for the I-91 Shop Hop. We really enjoyed meeting new friends, offering them tours of the Production Floor and sharing this new pattern. We’d like to introduce you to our latest FREE pattern: the Stash Buster Crochet Hat designed by Maureen.
There was a distinct bite to the air this morning as we arrived at the Mill and that tells us that Fall is coming and our festival season is near! We imagine that very soon local nurseries will be filling up with mums and folks will start craving pumpkin spice in their coffee. We are hard at work spinning up a storm of fresh skeins so that we and some of your favorite fiber producers and indie dyers will have fresh inventory to share with you in the coming months.
